Last year, I wore the pads of my wrists raw where my hands touched the desk. My back ached, and my social life has been nonexistent. I have declined speaking invitations and let my newsletter slide. The guilt I feel about neglected emails and phone calls weighs on me every day.
Announcing Creative Insecurity release December 10, 2024
I’d like to play this cool, but the truth is that whatever I feel reads all over my face—and my face is beaming right now. It feels lovely to bask in a milestone.
So here’s my announcement. On December 10, my next book, co-authored with the venerable James M. Sweeney, will be distributed by Simon & Schuster. (Publisher: Post Hill Press). I am eternally grateful for fabulous support from Post Hill Press as the publisher.
Creative Insecurity: Lean Into The Unknown And Embrace Your Inner Misfit. It is a serial entrepreneur’s wisdom on embracing uncertainty and bravely asking the question: “What am I missing?”

About my co-author, James M. Sweeney
James M. Sweeney founded Caremark (ultimately acquired as CVS-Caremark) and a dozen other companies. Jim has had several billion-dollar exits and is a legend in startup circles. Working with him has given me a world-class education, and every page contains an “a-ha” from his sage experience.
If you struggle with imposter syndrome, if you feel like a misfit, or if you have a big idea, then we wrote this book for you. Creative Insecurity is available now for pre-order. I can’t wait for to you to internalize these ideas for yourself because you will not be the same afterward.
I am grateful that Jim gave me wide berth to do my thing as co-author, empowering me to bring my own background, research skills, and voice to the work. Here on LinkedIn, I mostly post about family storytelling, but I have an MBA in entrepreneurship, and starting my own business has been a lifelong dream. I am now living that dream with Evalogue.Life. Hence, throughout the writing process, I put concepts into practice. These ideas are now part of me, and I will share some life-changing takeaways in the coming months.
In closing, I would be so grateful for your support. Preorders signal to the publisher, bookstores, and the distribution that this book is worth extra attention. Each early order makes a bigger difference than you might think.
It is now available for preorder on Amazon or wherever else you buy books. Published by Post Hill Press and Distributed by Simon & Schuster.
